Benchmark Services can
serve all your hydroblasting needs. Benchmark will blast away any surface rust
and flaking inside the piping in a lube oil system. Surface rust
and flakes are typical hiding places of hard particulates that can
break loose at any time, potentially causing severe damage to the
turbine bearings. This high pressure water is injected through a
flexible lance that is inserted through the lube oil piping. After
the hydroblasting is completed, the system is blown down to remove
any excess water, then a light oil vapor is sprayed into the pipes
to further protect against flash rusting. This hydroblasting process is not recommended unless followed up immediately with a high velocity
turbine oil flush.
